Filmmaker For Change - Holly Mosher

In January 2010, the Supreme Court decision Citizens United vs. FEC declared that corporations could spend unlimited amounts to affect our elections. But even before then, politicians have been listening to their donors, not the voters.  PAY 2 PLAY takes a look at the obstacles in running for office by creatively wrapping the experience around a board game parallel, with compelling insight into both the corruption that flourishes under our current campaign process, as well as exposing revelations about Citizens United. The film explores an array of campaign reform opportunities, proven legislation, and movements underway to reclaim America's democracy.  (COMING TO THEATERS SEPTEMBER 2014)

One Dude’s Quest To Save Democracy
How did America get so off track? Nagging doubts about the legitimacy of the 2004 election force John Ennis to get off his sofa and investigate Ohio leading up to the 2006 elections - even though he is just some dude. He meets with journalists, politicians, election officials, attorneys, activists, and everyday Ohioans in a search for truth. Along his journey, Ennis uncovers a web of schemes that swing U.S. election.

PAY 2 PLAY: Democracy’s High Stakes

Picking up where FREE FOR ALL! left off, PAY 2 PLAY: Democracy’s High Stakes explores the absurd heights of political corruption in Ohio, while following statewide elections that prove surprising and historic. The inspiring stories behind first-time candidates and the struggles of their underdog campaigns reveal the larger failures in our electoral process. When it comes to representing the will of the American people, there are boundaries beyond the ballot box.

The money required to campaign for office forces politicians to become beholden to their donors, who receive favors of government worth far more than their sponsorship.  Outsider candidates working for change must fight this financial system and the resources of incumbents, often facing the fiercest foes within their own party.

PAY 2 PLAY: Democracy’s High Stakes puts a human face on the cause for campaign finance reform by taking you on the ground for the personal experiences of candidates running to make a difference, and curing corruption in America through clean elections.
